Job Summary: The purpose of this safety sensitive position is to maintain guest rooms and public areas in a clean and presentable condition to provide a comfortable and productive experience to our guests.

This is a full time benefited position and will be posted until filled

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Complete all indoor and outdoor cleaning duties associated with all guest rooms in all lodging facilities
  • Ensure that all guestrooms and amenities are fully stocked
  • Ensures furniture in guest rooms is aligned properly.
  • Collect soiled laundry for laundry attendant; replaces with clean linens
  • Report maintenance issues to proper department
  • Maintain maid cart inventory
  • Performs recycling steps as required

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist with other Hospitality areas as needed.
  • Assist with laundry duties as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Competency or position requirements:

  • Ability to closely follow instructions to ensure high degree of safety for self and others
  • Ability to safely operate tools of the trade
  • Dexterity and stamina needed to complete tasks

Environmental Factors: (lifting, standing, sitting, sounds, chemicals, hazards, etc.)

  • Standing for an extended periods of time (minimum of 6 - 8 hours)
  • Lifting 20 to 40lbs.
  • Smells, odors (housecleaning chemicals)
  • Bending, stooping, squatting
  • Noises associated with responsibilities

Minimum Requirements:

  • Work Experience: 0-1 years
  • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from Petit Jean Mountain
  • Education: High school diploma or GED, and hospitality related classwork
  • Availability: Must be available to work any shift, 7 days a week

Employee must safely be able to perform the following physical tasks:

  • Sit or stand for entire shift (approx. 8-10 hours), depending on assigned work area
  • Lifting, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, depending on assigned work area
  • Lift minimum of approx. 50 lbs.

Employee must be able to safely tolerate the following environmental factors:

  • Sounds, noises, chemicals, hazards, associated with responsibilities of assigned work area
  • Varying temperatures
  • Use of detergents, soaps, scrubs sanitizers, and hot water or other compounds associated with assigned work area
  • Use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for assigned work area (face masks, gloves, cutting gloves, etc.)
