Position: Horticulturist/Detailed Property Maintenance

$18-23 an hour

Full Time – Monday-Friday 8hour shift
(Some Saturday work may be required)

Experience: Gardening, landscaping, 2 years in the industry

Education: High school or equivalent

License: Valid driver’s license required

Pesticide License: Active/Valid a plus

We are seeking a Horticulturist/Detailed property maintenance team member.
Please have at least two years professional experience minimum in the landscape/maintenance industry.
Plese have an active/valid pesticide license.
Plant, Pest and Disease identification are a required skill.
Knowledge of plant nutrition and beneficial applications encourage growth and bloom.
Looking for a self-starter with excellent time management skills.
Must be dependable, reliable and focused.
Eager to assist with implementation of garden projects.
Maintain properties, pots, flower beds and garden areas.

Duties:

• Seasonally change out plant material at client’s properties.
• Keeping client’s properties, bed and pots free of debris and dead materials.
• Watering and fertilizing plants when needed.
• Pruning plants/detailing/deadheading as needed during the correct time of year.

Job Requirements:

• Two years or more in the landscape industry.
• Reliable, self-motivated and punctual.
• Able to lift up to 15lbs- 50lbs mulch bags, large containers, large container plants
• and bulky items.
• Must be able to apply insecticides/herbicides safely with sprayer.
• Must be able to work in outdoor conditions- cold, heat, rain, etc.
• Must have a clean driving record. Must be approved to drive company vehicles.
• Replacement plants and client request handled in a precise and timely manner.
• Bringing problems and concerns to management quickly to mitigate client issues.
• Recording accurate time usage on projects and on client’s properties.
• Strong communication skills with managers, co-workers and clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
