GENERAL: We are looking for a hardworking, energetic, quality and safety-minded person to work in the above referenced position. This person must be able to work well with others and individually, and with little or no supervision. Interested candidate(s) must be able to read and understand a variety production paperwork including schedules, blueprints, spec sheets and other production paperwork, use measuring equipment and hand tools, be mechanically inclined and able to operate equipment/machinery as necessary. BRIEFDESCRIPTION:

Employee setsup, adjusts, runs/operates, and cleans production machines to produce a variety of colors/styles/sizes of pavers in a continuous production process. Employee is responsible for the quality and productivity of the paving production process including: mixing, machine operation, secondary processes, packaging, etc.

Start-up: Machine Operator reviews production schedule and paperwork and verifies proper production machine set-up. MachineOperator uses a standardized start-up procedureto initiate daily production. Start-up will include a variety of preventative maintenance and machine adjustments.

Production: Machine Operator monitors the production process, makes necessary adjustments to produce consistent high quality product. Machine Operator is responsible for the production of pavers using inter-connected specialized production equipment including batch plant, back and face mix feeders, additive dispensers, color batcher, cycle times, QC inspection station, Kiln curing time, paver extraction, in line shot blaster, palletizer, etc.

Clean-up/Other

Individual will perform normal routine maintenance and clean-up tasks as needed.

SPECIFIC TASKS:

Operator will function as the primary controller of all machine functions and associated personnel. It will be the Operator's responsibility to train, lead and monitor every aspect of the machine. The operating software of this machine is highly advanced and therefore the Operator must have a high level of computer literacy. Competencies include: (1) Ability to understand and react to complex machine data (2) Evaluate mechanical problems, develop a solution and execute (3) Learn in a fast paced environment (4) Comprehension and execution of all quality standards (5) Strong written and oral communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

Includes but is not limited to, prolonged periods of standing, working on a computer, bending, reaching, stretching, lifting, walking, twisting, squattingand kneeling. Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, knees, back shoulders and neck. Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and the like.

*Shift differential of $1.50 per hour for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.
