The Health Software team is looking for a Security Engineer to help secure complex, large-scale application and infrastructure initiatives. You will use your talents to help secure our Health Research Platform by coordinating and architecting security controls, performing security reviews, and testing controls.
Key Qualifications
- Web Application Security and Penetration Testing of complex enterprise environments
- Hands-on experience with manual and tool assisted Source Code Security Review (Java)
- Experience securing Cloud Environments for large enterprise applications
- Background in web application development and/or code auditing strongly preferred
- Proficiency with macOS and Linux
- Strong verbal & written communication skills and the ability to succinctly communicate security concerns at various technical levels.
- Passion for discovering and researching new vulnerabilities and exploiting techniques
Description
As a Security Engineer you will be responsible for conducting security architecture reviews for full stack applications built on cloud technologies in the health space. You will conduct manual application security tests and audit source code to support releases. You'll work to identify security testing plans and conduct testing to ensure security controls are in place and implemented correctly. Development of tooling to support security improvement initiatives for the platform and provide security guidance for new projects, features, and changes to Health related projects.
Education & Experience
BS in Computer Science with specialization in Information Security or 4+ years of equivalent, hands-on information security experience.
Additional Requirements
- Experience with enterprise Java development preferred.
- Experience with cloud automation tooling and scripting preferred
- Experience with security testing and review of Medical or Health related applications and systems a plus
- Experience in a large enterprise environment a plus
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,000 and $242,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
