You will be fully involved from day one and contribute your strengths to the exciting and extensive business and IT services to bring our tech stack to a new level.
Your mission

• As a Service Head/Owner for all UnternehmerTUM entities, you will be responsible for the ownership, implementation, and management of our IT services

• Developing and driving the global IT service and project strategy and ensure and maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing IT organization standards

• Continuous further development of the IT service portfolio

• Strengthening the self-organization of employees and professional development of colleagues

• Advising the IT organization, the departments incl. top management

• Engaging with service providers to ensure the quality of service, delivery of innovation, productivity, and problem/incident resolution

• Identifying automation opportunities and lead their planning and execution

• Responsibility for service costs and leveraging all opportunities to lower the cost base and avoid lock-in of high ratio of fixed costs

• Leading, motivating and developing team members based on the company’s values and foster a high collaborative and performance culture

• Providing strategic guidance for IT OKRs, including the evaluation and recommendation of technical controls

• Aligning proposals and drive commitments with business and stakeholders based on the business value

Your profile

• University Degree or comparable education in Computer Science, IT, or Technology

• At least three years in an IT leadership role – preferably service management

• Several years of experience on operating high-availability platforms on a global level

• Experienced leader for working models with distributed teams in different cultures

• Experience in Microsoft 365, Azure experience, and G Workspace highly welcome

• Experience in client administration, macOS/Microsoft, SSO, certificate management, 802.1x authentication

• Deep knowledge in shaping modern system infrastructures and service architectures

• Holistic understanding of IT service processes

• High interest in new technologies

• Dynamic team building and collaboration skills are critical

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong presentation skills are essential incl. change management

• Able to express yourself easily and articulately in English and German (preferably both, C2 level in at least one)

• In-depth knowledge of service business operations and delivery

• Leadership skills: communication, good conflict and negotiation management
