Head of Computer Vision Innovation (m/f/d)

Joining the Process &Technology Development department of E&T, you will be part of the team which explores pioneering processes and technologies together with research, development, and manufacturing at Bayer worldwide. We are at the forefront of life science industry digitalization. With our scientific expertise and innovation strength we drive the development of economically and ecologically sustainable solutions. To achieve this, we combine the expert knowledge of people with different professional backgrounds in diverse teams together with our academic partners.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• You manage and lead the Computer Vision Innovation Group, provide guidance and support to its group members
• You are responsible for the establishment, development and protection of technical know-how of the Computer Vision Innovation Group
• You are accountable for supervising and developing a sustainable innovation project portfolio as well as for its strategic implementation within Bayer
• You are responsible for recruiting, resource management and resource allocation within the Computer Vision Innovation Group
• Moreover, you are responsible for further developing a dynamic, flexible, transparent, results-oriented and innovative working atmosphere for both group members and partners
• Maintain and develop the overall core competencies of the Computer Vision Innovation Group in cooperation with other relevant organizational units within Bayer
• You are responsible for delivering projects on time, in budget and with the expected quality as well as for protecting the Bayer Intellectual Property (IP) and for safety

WHO YOU ARE

• Completed studies in computer science or computational natural sciences (e.g. (bio)physics, computational biology, biomedical engineering, etc.)
• Knowledge of digital data acquisition & processing technologies as well as of data management
• Knowledge in topics such as augmented reality, machine learning, deep learning, big data and cloud computing
• Experience in operational and business management as well as in project management, both nationally and internationally (is beneficial)
• First leadership experience as functional manager (e.g. team lead) is a plus
• Very good analytical and conceptual skills as well as the ability to think and act strategically distinguish you
• Motivation, communication, presentation, social and intercultural skills
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
