Job description

This position is responsible for organizing practices, game day performances, University events and community appearances. Additional duties include the daily administration and supervision of cheerleaders, mascots, recruiting, coordinating tryouts and cheer camps, scheduling and being present at practices and athletic events specified by the Athletics Department, scheduling and overseeing group competitions, routines and travel, monitoring academic progress and eligibility status of student cheerleaders and mascots.

• Develop and execute the plan for season, including competitive schedule and practices, i.e., facilities, officials, practice schedule, supervise travel arrangements for away competition and strategize for subsequent contests.
• Produce/edit music for special event performances as needed.
• Assists in organization of events such as but not limited to clinics and workshops on and off campus.
• Drills the team in execution of cheers, sidelines, technique, skills and routines for volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball.
• Provides a positive learning environment for team members.
• Manages budget, equipment procurement, team travel for postseason and nationals, etc.
• Manages uniform inventory, re-purchasing and yearly gear ordering.
• Organizes fundraisings and booster cultivation.
• Monitors affiliated professional organizations.
• Serves in administrative assignments.
• Assist in the development of strategies to increase visibility and attendance at home and away events.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Associate’s degree.
Experience At least 2 years of coaching experience

Pay: $7,500.00 per year
