This Moxie Salon & Beauty Bar is located in Garwood, NJ between the neighboring areas of Westfield and Cranford! We are part of a rapidly growing Franchise and this is the first of five locations to open under the same ownership, presenting lots of growth opportunity!

Moxie runs on a team-based model which allows us to constantly be busy. So we’re looking for Hairstylists who are energetic, goal oriented and motivated! Moxie allows you to consistently expand your skillset, so you’re never bored and always busy!

Hourly pay is dependent on experience,
+ Tips, membership commission, product bonus, and profit sharing bonuses
+ Ask about our sign-on bonus!

Job type: Full Time, Part Time

Shift: 6, 8, & 10 hour shifts available, weekend availability required

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and identify their preferences by asking pointed questions
• Blowouts, Haircuts, Extensions is a plus!
• Hair coloring techniques like highlights, ombre and balayage
• Upsell hair care products, memberships, or services when appropriate
• Recommend hairstyles and haircuts using your expertise
• Shampooing of clients hair
• Form bonds with loyal customers and remember their hairstyle preferences

Skills

• Work experience as a Hair Stylist, Colorist or similar role
• Proficiency blowouts - straightening and curling methods, using hot irons and curlers
• Hair Extensions a plus but not required! (education available if you choose)
• Makeup is also a plus but not required! (education available if you choose)
• Hands-on experience with various coloring techniques
• Familiarity with hair treatment products and services, like keratin smoothing
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility to work in shifts
• Valid license from a cosmetology school

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
