Job Title: Group Specialist Travel Consultant
Location: Virtual/Remote
GDS: Amadeus
Salary: $48k
Schedule: Mon – Fri (actual times, TBA)

Summary: The Group Specialist Travel Consultant is responsible for servicing groups, meetings and events. This role requires managing bookings from start to finish, including post booking activities. This includes booking air for groups of 10 or more, managing hotel reservations (and rooming lists), ground transportation (airport transfers by bus), and tours. Working with DMC’s (Destination Management Companies) to offer products globally and providing professional consultancy service for clients is also a day to day responsibility.
Qualifications required:
- Excellent travel industry experience and destination knowledge
- Proven experience working with Groups, Meetings, Events, or field trip sector (student groups)
- Ability to upsell products and grow revenue and productivity
- Good Amadeus or other GDS knowledge
- Great attention to detail
- Must be self-sufficient and able to work independently with self-direction as well as work with a team
- Willing to learn new skills and happy to try something new, to be proactive, supportive, and a flexible team member who will contribute to team performance
The ideal candidate: someone who meets the aforementioned qualifications, as well as meets one or more of the following “desirable” skills below:
- Knowledge of group travel booking tools and/or venue finding tools (i.e., Cvent)
- Experience with Salesforce
- Language skills: German, French, Dutch, Italian, or Spanish
- Experience working across cultures and with remote teams
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $48,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
