Hanover Hill Health Care Center is now interviewing for a Full-Time Groundskeeper/Maintenance technician to join our Environmental Services team. This department is essential in creating and maintaining a comfortable, safe and clean environment throughout our upscale, 124 bed long-term care and skilled nursing facility located on a beautiful campus in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Schedule includes Mon-Fri 7:30am - 4pm and winter on-call for snow removal.

Requirements:

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day.
• Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with the residents, personnel.
• Must be a minimum of twenty (20) years of age.

• Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner.
• Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
• Will be required to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc., throughout the work day.

Summary:

• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc., as necessary or directed.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures.
• Clean windows and screens and exterior of building as directed.
• Replace burned out light bulbs, to include, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc., and perform cleaning duties wherever necessary.
• Daily rounds of exterior grounds. Monitor landscaping for signs/symptoms of distress.
• Knowledge and function of facility irrigation system. Keep all patios free from debris on a daily basis.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.
• Set up stage, chairs, etc., for employee/resident/facility functions.
• Retrieve supplies from various storage locations and store deliveries as directed
• Replenish maintenance supplies in work areas as necessary.
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies
• Assist others in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc. as directed or requested.
