JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Grinder operator in Spartanburg, SC. This is temp to perm/permanent, 4 day 10 hour work week located in Spartanburg.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect machinery and parts to ensure that they remain compliant with specifications.
• Ensure grinding wheels are dressed according to specifications.
• Adjust machinery upon discovery of potential production issues.
• Inspecting workpieces as they come out of the equipment and removing any defective pieces.
• Inspect final product to determine quality and correct potential issues by hand to achieve proper fit and finish.
• Perform basic maintenance, including cleaning, and scheduling repairs when needed.

Qualification Requirements

• Must be able to use tape measure, calipers, etc.
• Must be able to read blue prints.
• Mechanical aptitude/ability, i.e.: cutting rubber/aluminum, drilling and tapping, etc.
• Fundamental knowledge of adhesive and fasteners.

Physical/Medical Requirements

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Must be able to lift 50 to 100 pounds.
• Use of safety equipment including but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety boots or shoes. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Education Requirement

High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
