GES Program Manager
This position, Program Manager, is responsible for coordinating and overseeing third party supplier management for the State Government Programs. Additionally, they ensure consistency and standardization across all third-party suppliers. The Program Manager is responsible for taking ownership of audit and regulatory exam outputs as it relates to third party risk management within the program and partnering with the vendor management business analysts.
Position Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing a robust third-party risk management framework for the State Government Programs.
- Monitor Service level standards for the State Government Programs and provide senior management with compliance reporting as well as maintain an environment where processes and controls are monitored, and potential risks are escalated on a timely basis.
- Adhere to Comerica's on-going governance program to monitor third-party supplier relationships, the business activities being performed and reporting of identified risks.
- Manage the third-party suppliers for the State Government Programs, ensures compliance with policies, procedures and all legal and regulatory requirements, and monitors for expected execution.
- In partnership with business and key stakeholders, oversee implementation of new and revised systems, policies, or procedures for an effective, efficiency driven, quality focused, and customer-oriented third part risk management program. Key stakeholders include Corporate Compliance, Corporate Quality and Card Risk.
- Implements suitable tracking and monitoring mechanisms to identify gaps in the third-party risk management program and follow-up to ensure gaps are closed.
- Assess results of data analysis on third party oversight data, identifying and researching root-cause analysis, trends, issues, and regulatory concerns and submits suggestions to senior management.
- Create reporting for senior management, corporate compliance, and board oversight committees.
- Serves as primary point of contact for State Government third party risk management audits and regulatory exam outputs.
- Monitors the third-party suppliers environment to uncover issues before they become systemic.
- Monitor and ensure proper controls are in place to identify and mitigate risks that may lead to regulatory, reputational, or financial exposure.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8 years experience in large financial companies with direct accountability for managing third-party suppliers.
- 3 years experience in compliance, operational risk management, or quality assurance implementation
- 3-5 years experience data analytics and reporting
