Position: Golf Course Maintenance Worker

Reports to: Golf Course Supervisor

Seasonal Position: April- Nov (Weather pending)

Qualifications: 18 yrs or older

Salary Range: 13.00-15.00

Job Description:

The Golf Maintenance Worker is responsible for supporting the Golf Supervisor and Superintendent in all aspects of maintaining the Golf Course grounds and work areas. Majority of work-related responsibilities are performed predominately outdoors and involve physical strength, endurance, and manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment. Previous golf course maintenance experience is a plus.

Essential Skills:

• Maintain and cut grass on tee boxes, fairways, roughs, fringes, and greens.
• Maintain bunkers.
• Assist with landscaping, trimming and debris removal.
• Safely use equipment such as green riding mowers and powered and non-powered tools.
• Observe all safety practices and protocols and adhere to all policies set forth by the Chicago Heights Park District.
• Clean equipment and workplace surroundings
• Other tasks related to the maintenance of the course and clubhouse buildings.
• Must be able to work early morning shifts and weekends.
• Must be able to work in varying temperatures and inclement weather.
• Must be able to lift 50 pds and up to 25pds regularly.
• Worker shall provide a welcoming experience for all golfers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
