Jacobs Entertainment is currently in search of a “Facilities Manager” for Gold Dust West Elko. This property features a modern interior with the latest slot machines and table games including Blackjack, Craps, and 3-Card Poker. Across the parking lot is our 80-room Hampton Inn featuring Wi-Fi, a swimming pool, fitness center and a hot breakfast for all guests. Relocation Expenses of $3,000 covered.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for overseeing and supervising the activities of the maintenance personnel to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of the property utilities and emergency systems
  • Create and control Budgets along with time and attendance submissions. Control labor costs
  • Work with vendors, contractors on purchases and agreements holding operating costs down
  • Ensure all Facility Department personnel are properly trained to use hand tools, electrical tools, motorized vehicles and their associated equipment, ladders, lifts and etc.
  • Manager position is a hands’ on and is required to work with the Facility Department personnel and at times may be required to work unaccompanied
  • Manager will hold monthly documented Risk Management Safety Meeting with all personnel
  • Manage, supervise and schedule the Facilities Department personnel on all mechanical and electrical plant preventative maintenance including but not limited too; Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Annual preventative maintenance per manufacture recommendations
  • Manage supervise and schedule the Facility Department personnel on risk management tasks and all cosmetic repairs through-out the property including all public and employee areas inside and outside the structures
  • Work with the Corporate Director of Facilities on all major repair and maintenance projects and all Cap-X projects
  • Complete a weekly Facility Department status report on all pertinent items completed or addressed for the General Manager and Corporate Director of Facilities
  • Makes necessary changes to the facilities personnel schedule to meet operational demands
  • Maintains the parts and supplies needed by the department to make timely repairs on equipment
  • Work with all departments on their needs and complete work orders professionally and judiciously

Skills, Education and Other Requirements

  • Must be fluent in English
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret building codes including the UBC, Fire, Mechanical and Electrical
  • Must have strong communication skills including narrative reporting
  • Must be able use the computer and plant management system
  • Ability to open and read CAD files and understand construction drawings including structural, mechanical, electrical, low voltage and utility site drawing
  • Have excellent working knowledge of major plant mechanical and electrical equipment operations and maintenance
  • Must High School Diploma, and Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Degree or eight years hands on experience of building plant operation and maintenance
  • Must have four years of facility maintenance Supervisor/Manager experience
  • Identification that establishes identity

  • Registered with Nevada Gaming Control Board
