Established in 1861, Gillinder Glass is a custom technical molded and filter glass manufacturer located in Port Jervis, New York. The company specializes in pressed and custom molded, clear and colored glass products “Made in the USA”.

MUST be able to work days (5am-5pm), weekends & holidays.

Must be able to work in very hot & very cold environment.

Responsible for set-up and break-down of all shop equipment.

Moves presses, work tables, glazers, cut-off kettles, etc. to required locations.

Hooks up all necessary gas and air lines to press and make required adjustments.

Fills pots by transporting batch in large bin to pot by forklift; shovel material.

Ladles glass out of pots, as instructed with spoon-like tool.

Provides properly marked cullet barrels for each shop.

Monitors temperature gages, thermostats etc. during shift as required.

Monitors & inspects glass condition & pot/tank condition periodically as required.

Maintains communication between supervision and furnace crews between shifts.

Sweeps floor and separates glass properly; cleaning as necessary.

May be required to work in any production area that has available work.

Requires standing at an extremely hot work area filling and emptying pots.

Requires lifting on average 50 lbs. of hot molds.

Must have reliable transportation regardless of weather.
