Generator Installer
Veteran Owned and Operated Gulf Breeze, FL, company is seeking an experienced electrician to serve as Generator Installer Apprentice. This is a permanent, full-time position. Electrical and/or generator experience preferred. Electrical certifications highly preferred.
The Generator Installer Apprentice works in a two-person team to install generators and their associated electrical and gas components. This includes installing conduit, running wires, preparing panels, and assisting the responsible electrician in any other required tasks.
Additional responsibilities include:
· Install, remove, and replace wire (typically up to 4/O) and conduit (PVC up to 3”), including all fittings and fasteners
· Install panels, conduit, and electrical components on a variety of home surfaces
· Bury conduit and wire over short to moderate distances using hand tools
· Manage inventory according to load sheets and job materials lists
· Manage all assigned tools and equipment, including vehicle, trailer, and large power tools
· Use a variety of hand tools, including drills, drivers, and saws
Desired skills and experience include the following, with training available for well qualified candidates:
· Two (2) years’ experience in the electrical field, or substantially similar construction field(s)
· Small motor maintenance and troubleshooting experience, or mechanical degree/certification is preferred
· Must possess a valid US driver’s license with good driving record, and be able to drive a truck or van, with or without trailer
· Must be willing to pass a criminal background check, and a drug test
· Ability to take and provide feedback to promote quality, and improve overall performance
· Able to lift and carry parts up to 75 lbs, including tool boxes, electrical panels, and major components
· Ability to work outdoors, while standing, bending over, or while using a ladder, in all weather conditions except lightning storm conditions
· Ability to operate a company provided computer equipment (e.g., tablet) used in the performance of installations, taking photos of installations, interfacing with customers
· Must possess basic hand tools, with specialized tools provided by the company (payroll advance available)

Occasional overtime may be required. Weekend work may be required under exceptional circumstances (e.g., storm response).
Interviews are generally conducted between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM or in the afternoon between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, Monday thru Friday. Typical work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, but can vary.
Veterans and first responders preferred, but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
