General Practice Physician - Sacramento, CA

Compensation: $125-$150 per hour

Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a General Practice Physician, for a reputable client in the Sacramento area. The ideal candidate must have 4 years of experience as a General Practitioner or Family Medicine and passed the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.


About the Job

The job is for a client and it is located in Sacramento. The General Practice Physician is the first contact for patients, providing principal and continuing medical care. Provide diagnosis, and treatment, and help prevent common diseases that occur in the general population creating preliminary diagnoses and referring patients to specialists if necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respond to health problems as presented by the patient.

• Administers preliminary assessment and diagnosis for patients.

• Create plans for health programs, and implement prevention and treatment for patients' common diseases.

• Promote health education, hygiene, and disease prevention.

• Intake records and maintain patient information for diagnostic and referral as needed.

• Requests laboratory tests and procedures as an aid in diagnostic procedures.

• Educate patients and significant parties about procedures and test results.

• Refers patients to specialist physicians or specialized clinics when needed.

• Keeping updated on recent medical developments.

Qualifications:

• 4 years experience as a General Practitioner or Family Medicine

• Passed the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination

• Licensed to practice in California

• Active participation in continued medical education and membership in a professional organization is highly preferred.

• Able to work in Sacramento, CA

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.
