Job Function/Purpose:
This role is responsible for the oversight and management of all day-to-day activities within Comtel Systems Technology to include the entire operating territory for Northern California. This unique role will interface with all areas of the business (preconstruction, operations, engineering, sales, and finance) to ensure all new/existing accounts for the West region are given appropriate attention as well as all staff are positioned to achieve success. There will be regularly scheduled meetings with the leadership team for strategic planning, budgeting, and monthly reporting.
Service: Using all the available company resources, ensure proactive installation and maintenance as well as best possible emergency response to customers and clients
- Support for generating project and service contract proposals.
- Develop strong management and technical teams in core competencies for each area.
- Assisting in development of schedules and scope of work.
- Active involvement in customer relations.
Personnel: Drive the company standards for excellence with performance for the branch
- Provide input on job description improvements.
- Conduct interviews and oversee the talent acquisition efforts for the branch office.
- Gain feedback from departmental staff and coordinate efforts to strengthen processes.
- Evaluate staff and coordinate ongoing training needs for continued talent development.
Billing: Work with the team to ensuretimely billing to clients for installation and service
- Timely deployment of project parts and materials.
- Oversee monthly project progress meetings with accounting/finance.
- When necessary, assist the finance team with collections.
Business Development: Work with sales team to interface with client/customers as well as contractors/architects
- Work with clients and customers to ensure we are the go-to for service/installation.
- Work with contractors to ensure they are aware of our capabilities and service abilities.
- Interface with the preconstruction team to ensure all estimating/proposals for the West region are generating favorable outcomes for further market penetration.
- Contract review and approval.
Leadership: Work with all levels of the organization to improve processes and procedures
- Attend seminars and workshops to stay current on the technical and managerial skills needed for this job.
- Work with in-house groups to ensure strong communications on current projects, and company goals.
- Stay calm and in control under stress.
Key Accountabilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day activities for the region and promote positive team morale.
- Work with staff at weekly scheduling meetings to maintain the schedules on all projects.
- Be a part of the interview process when hiring additional staff as needed.
- Coordinate with management and other staff on the continuing education effort for all team members.
- Plan and review the construction project workflows with the project managers and clinical staff (quality control procedures, safety and security practices, clinical workflow programs, etc.)
- Provide support alongside the management team for all activities of inspection agencies, and support remedial actions indicated by the reports of these agencies.
- Work with the management team to ensure weekly safety meetings are being implemented with the technicians and the Beacon safety program is followed.
- Review and approve all time sheets and personal time off where necessary.
- Conduct performance evaluations in a collaborative effort with all managers within the division.

b) Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing, and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.
c) Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills for both internal and external correspondence
d) Willingness to travel

f) Possess a strong understanding of company’s line card and solution offerings.

j) Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Dynamics, MS Project, Adobe, Sage, Vista by Viewpoint, and MS Office.
2) Education:
a) College Degree or equivalent experience in specified field
3) Experience:
a) Minimum of 15 Years of experience in a low voltage systems related role.
b) Experience managing a branch office with a sales/operations staff of 40 or more preferred.
Work Environment:
1) The work environment will be an office or construction environment and will require site visits to various schools, hospitals, or commercial sites either under construction or during renovations.
2) Job sites will have a variety of environmental factors including but not limited to noise, dust, and temperature changes.
Essential Functions:
1) Requires prolonged sitting, standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for data input.
2) Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 30 pounds.
3) Must maintain a clear background check to satisfy customer jobsite badging requirements.
4) Must be willing to submit to all vaccinations and screening tests required for customer jobsite badging protocol.
5) Maintain a clear drug and alcohol screening protocol.
6) 30-40% travel requirement, as needed.
