Exciting R&D Technician Opportunity at COTSWORKS
COTSWORKS is looking for a FORCE R&D Technician to support the exciting and growing Mil/Aero market for our in-house designed and manufactured optoelectronic products and solutions.

If so, working for COTSWORKS as a FORCE R&D Technician on the Fiber Optic Research Center of Excellence (FORCE) team may be your perfect role! This role supports the Company by completing short-run manufacturing, testing, and qualification of COTSWORKS’ current and next-generation optical sub-assemblies (OSAs). This role also supports maintaining and cleaning machinery (manual and semi- automated), equipment, and COTSWORKS’ ISO 7/Class 10,000 cleanroom.

COTSWORKS, INC. designs and manufactures rugged optical components and subsystems to operate in harsh environments. Products are utilized worldwide in commercial and military aerospace and tactical, oil and gas, and other industrial markets. Over 100,000 mission-critical rugged optoelectronic and interconnect products are produced yearly in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The
Company maintains a quality program with ISO 9100:2015 + AS9100D Certification and ATEX compliance.

Your Qualifications and Tasks:
A high school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of relevant work experience is required. An associate degree in electronics is preferred. Experience in fiber optics is not required.

This job is a full-time, hourly position with a stable, growing company in a clean, safe, and organized work environment where quality is a top priority. We will expect you to:

• Use detailed work instructions to build and test OSAs.
• Assemble, disassemble, test, and inspect small electrical parts and components. Some of the work is completed under magnification.
• Analyze and troubleshoot electrical and electronic subsystems and components.
• Use a variety of hand tools and electronic equipment.
• Keep accurate records of your work.
• Work with FORCE engineers to identify opportunities to design, build, maintain, and repair fixtures for semi-automated production and test machinery within a cleanroom environment.

U.S. citizenship is required (no green card or visa).

We offer a starting hourly rate of $18.00 (based on experience) and a comprehensive benefits package.
