Responsibilities/Duties:

Food Handler (Taquero)

• Participate in all areas of food production
• Prep and portion out ingredients for the production
• Help control food costs
• Adhere to standards of food quality
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and equipment
• Dependable: show up for work when scheduled
• Detail-oriented: must be able to follow basic recipes and methods
• Know how to work with a sense of urgency - can keep up with orders during busy times
• Work great in a team

* Wash, peel, cut, chop, slice, and otherwise prepare and other cooking elements for meal preparation during a shift
* Responsible for storing items in the refrigerator, covering items left in the open air, and preparing special food elements ahead of time so that they can be quickly accessed and used in cooking
* Work with speed and efficiency to ensure proper and timely output
* Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen area throughout shift
* Complete assigned prep work for stocking and set up of station. Break down and clean station thoroughly every day
* Ensure proper rotation of all products to par. Label, day dot, and sign all products
* Must be dressed and well groomed in Company approved uniform at all times
* Must wear approved manufacturer certified slip resistant or non-slip shoes at all times while working
