Evermore Orlando Resort is an innovative 1,100-acre resort adjacent to Walt Disney World® featuring centrally owned upscale and upsized vacation rental homes, flats & villas, a luxury Conrad hotel, 36 holes of world-class Jack Nicklaus golf, and a massive 20-acre tropical beach complex around Evermore Bay, our 8-acre crystalline water amenity by Crystal Lagoons®. The surrounding beach areas feature zero-entry swim areas, bars, cabanas, private firepits, a lively food hall & gourmet market, a casual dining restaurant, and an event Boathouse that will provide a picture-perfect backdrop for weddings, banquets, and corporate meetings. Evermore is building a team that will bring these experiences to life in 2023 and is seeking individuals that want the challenge of building this exciting resort experience. .
Position Summary: Provide administrative, operational, and customer service support to the Food & Beverage department. Reports to the Director of the Food and Beverage and supports the management team with the daily operation and coordination of all food & beverage outlets/venues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide all administrative functions to the F&B department (mailing, photocopies; scans, emails, and performs other clerical support).
- Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and fellow Team Members always.
- Assist with monthly Team Member recognition, anniversaries, birthdays, and other celebrations.
- Maintain safety standards and report any unsafe conditions.
- Practice excellent telephone etiquette (smile in voice. be alert, courteous and helpful to our internal guests.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality on team member issues & guest relations.
- Maintain a good working relationship with all Departments.
- Be Liaison with other key departments including VIP’s, Sales, Accounting, Catering, Banquets, Purchasing and HR.
- Be familiar with all food & beverage outlets, venues & amenities.
- Assists with Food & beverage recruitment and onboarding process of new hires.
- Assist with tracking training compliance, certifications, and teams schedule requests.
- Support other departments whenever possible through direct and indirect support.
- Schedules meetings as requested by management.
- Create signage, posters, flyers and others required reading materials.
- Ability to greet guests in person or on the telephone in a pleasant and welcoming manner.
- Assist in menu creation including typing, editing, and proofreading.
- Maintain administrative and (PMS) property management systems.
- Complete personnel requisitions and obtain proper approval signatures.
- Assist with monthly F&B audits, inventory orders, purchasing and office supply demands.
- Attend Food and Beverage meetings and take minutes.
- Assist of all special projects and seasonal events.
- Create and maintain a master Food and Beverage manager’s schedule.
- Advise management of Team Members time & attendance items, including missed punches, PTO requests and other concerns.
- Assist with tips report, calculation, and submission to payroll.
- Provide assistance with training programs and ability to deliver them as needed.
- Assist with covering food & beverage stations and projects as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Education, Skills and Experience:
- High School graduate or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years previous experience as an administrative assistant in food & beverage or equivalent experience as a manager, supervisor, server, cook or like position. College degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Able to communicate in other languages preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Excellent communication, people person and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with a wide range of people.
- Outstanding organizational, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Google Business, Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Self-starter that can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical Requirements:
- Able to safely lift, pull and push up to 15 pounds.
- Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach periodically.
- Able to sit and use the computer for hours at a time.
- Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside.
- Visually look at a computer for extended periods.
- Repetitive hand motions, such as typing.
