We are NOW HIRING a Fleet and Asset Manager to develop and implement procedures to select, procure, use, maintain, and sell companies fleet vehicles and equipment assets. Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations. Ensure all fleet and assets are properly insured, branded, and registered for day-to-day use. Oversee all maintenance programs and recommend when fleet and assets have reached the end-of-life cycle.

COMPENSATION: $25-28/Hr.

Necessary Experience and Skill Set

  • MUST HAVE 3+ years’ experience in asset and fleet management
  • Knowledgeable in state and federal regulations regarding vehicle compliance
  • Flexible to travel on short notice to respond to client needs
  • Effective negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel)

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Create a vehicle/asset selection list that can be used for various departments within the company when new vehicles/assets are requested.
  • Facilitate the registration and insurance process for all new vehicles/assets to ensure they are ready for company use.
  • Ensure vehicles/assets are properly branded and numbered.
  • Facilitate the maintenance of company vehicles/assets through a network of approved vendors.
  • Develop fleet/asset maintenance service plans to ensure vehicle/assets maintenance is being performed on schedule.
  • Maintain all detailed records of vehicle/asset servicing and inspections and ensure all DOT inspections are up to date when applicable.
  • Facilitate the shipping of vehicles/asset to various job sites as needed.
  • Facilitate any accident insurance claims and repairs, dealing with the insurance adjusters through the settlement process.
  • Maintain IFTA and IRP requirements when applicable.
  • Determine when a vehicle/asset has reached the end of its useful life and facility the sell.
  • Manage the company Reveal platform to ensure service plans are up to date, all vehicles have GPS installed, and all drivers are loaded into the database.
  • Source and procure vehicles/assets as needed to fulfill specific job or growth needs.
  • Prepare and submit reports to governing bodies including, but not limited to accident reports, DOT, IFTA, and IRP.
  • Maintain and update all SOP’s and written programs pertaining to fleet and assets.
  • Prepare budgets pertaining to fleet and asset needs within the company on a yearly basis.
  • Distribute all driving reports, speeding, harsh driving, etc., to each branch on a weekly basis.
  • Handle recurring and unique tasks, as necessary.
