SUMMARY
Work successfully, independently, and in a group, installing, maintaining, and repairing electronic security and fire alarm systems in a commercial low-voltage environment. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the worksite while also providing excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Physically install low voltage wiring and components for electronic security systems with minimal supervision including access controls, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, etc.
- Physically install low voltage wiring and components for fire alarm and other Life Safety systems, including alarm and detection, notification, sprinkler monitoring, and interfaces and controls for agent releasing suppression systems.
- Buildout headend equipment room wall fields including but not limited to wiring and mounting control panels, low voltage power supplies, wire management, etc.
- Install cable pathways and supports per local codes.
- Wire / install field devices with minimal supervision / training.
- Ensure that products are installed to industry standards, neat and plumb giving a professional appearance.
- Basic diagnosis and repair of problems in electronic security and fire alarm system low voltage wiring.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools to perform assigned jobsite tasks.
- Travel to client sites to perform and assist in installations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and use them appropriately while performing daily tasks.
- Work with install team in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines with minimum direction.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal & external customers
- Perform small to medium size jobs within approved hours and margin tolerances.

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:
- Experience with any or all the following preferred: AMAG Symmetry, Lenel, Brivo, Kantech, Verint, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Wisenet, Verkada, DMP, Notifier, Honeywell, or Siemens.
- 2+ years of experience as a technician within electronic security, fire alarm or related field.
- Basic understanding of low voltage wiring and equipment.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of using a multimeter.
- Basic knowledge of ethernet networks and assigning IPs
- Certified Alarm Technician (CAT) Level I strongly preferred.
- Read and interpret electronic security and fire alarm system layouts from blueprints.
- Punctuality and consistent daily attendance.
- Ability to work nights when required.
- Ability to work with others and keep moving toward the end goal.
