Soul Garden was created out of a passion for all things growing, combined with comprehensive knowledge of plants, climate, soil, and space. How these elements relate and resonate with each other is the cornerstone of our “whole system” approach to landscaping. With over 20 years of experience, Soul Garden offers an alternative to mainstream landscaping for high-end residential properties in Salt Lake City, and Park City, Utah. We design, build and nurture beautiful living spaces in a respectful, aware, and site-specific way.

-Pay: $18-$20 DOE -End of year bonus

Summer or Fall Semester internship: paid internship and school credit

• All majors accepted- art, design, environmental, and science-related majors preferred

Qualifications:

• Gardening/landscaping/horticulture experience

• Strong work ethic and physically fit

• An open mind to learning and developing new skills related to organic and sustainable gardening practices

Responsibilities:

• Plant identification and ability to provide professional seasonal care

• Detailed care of garden beds-- specific to the season: soil cultivation and amending, weeding, plant vitality care and treatment of disease, sustainable pest control, application of organic compost and mulching

• Perennial and annual care using Soul Garden’s organic and sustainable systems approach/practices-- installation plantings, detailed maintenance, establishing relationships with each garden and their specific care

• Pruning: Woody ornamental and herbaceous (shrub) pruning--hand pruning

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
