855-RILAWNS is an aggressively growing, reputable company currently operating out of North Kingstown, RI. We provide mostly residential services to our clients throughout Rhode Island. We are searching for a full time Landscape Gardener to work from March 15 - Dec 15, performing services such as regular pruning, weeding, mulching, and other light landscaping.

This job is physical labor position and may require you to work hard at times and/or require you to work outside in all weather conditions including rain, cold, or heat.
Work Hours:
M-Th, 7:15am to 6:30pm*
*During busy times of the year and depending on the weather, it may be necessary to work outside of these hours, including Saturdays.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Show up on time everyday prepared to work outdoors all day in any condition.
- Complete all assigned work when scheduled, within budget, and to customer's satisfaction.
- Complete assigned service concerns when scheduled.
- Communicate with, coordinate with, and manage assigned Landscape Laborer(s).
- Clock in/out assigned Landscape Laborer(s) daily & accurately.
- Attend weekly crew meetings.
- Keep trailer/equipment clean and organized.
- Put out door hangers when requested.
- Proactively notify mechanic of equipment needing repairs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn & adapt.
- Extremely reliable.
- Attention to detail. So much so that they will include "I pay attention to detail" at the bottom of their resume.
- Effective time management, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to problem solve without asking questions.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Must have own reliable transportation.
- Valid driver's license & clean driving record.
- Clean background check.
- Live local to the area.
- Knowledge of local pruning techniques.
- Ability to correctly identify common perennial flowers, shrubs, trees, and weeds.
- Must have a knowledge of and the ability to operate power equipment such as hedge trimmers, weed whackers, and various other pieces of landscape equipment
- Required experience: Familiarity with pruning techniques: 1 year
- Required license or certification: Drivers License
