Senior Director of Finance

Located in the beautiful Lakes Region of New Hampshire, Taylor Community is a not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community with campuses in both Laconia and Wolfeboro. Serving more than 500 residents and supporting a staff of 230, Taylor is the employer of choice in our region.

The Senior Director of Finance position is a newly created role, developed in response to the exciting growth currently happening in our organization. Already a million dollar operation, we are expanding and upgrading our facilities and programming to enhance the services we provide to seniors. In this senior-level position, the right candidate will drive finance initiatives, provide financial guidance and oversight of development projects, and oversee and mentor our exceptional finance team. As a member of Taylor's Senior Management Team, this individual will report directly to the CEO.

This senior level finance person directs and manages the day-to-day activities of the finance/accounting/payroll/company benefits/company insurance functions. Experience in financial accounting, fiscal reporting, budget preparation & administration, policies, and procedures, banking relationships, reporting and compliance. The senior director will provide accurate recordings of all financial transactions of Taylor Community in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Specific experience in bond financing, amortization of income that corresponds to a continuing care retirement community and the accounting practices related thereto is essential.

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance with a strong emphasis on financial and managerial accounting is required. Demonstrated experience in a similar position is essential. The qualified candidate must have good interpersonal skills and must be able to work with staff, residents, and the Board of Trustees.

Must be at least 18 years old, have a clear/clean driving record, reliable automobile, and can pass drug and criminal background check. Must have a flexible schedule as there will be times you will have to work some weekends and nights.
