The D.A. Collins Family of Companies has brought safety, quality and productivity to industrial, infrastructure, highway, and bridge construction for over 70 years. As members of the D.A. Collins Companies, D.A. Collins Construction Co., Inc. and Kubricky Construction Corp. are seeking to add valued members to our growing team as Field Engineers. The position is based in Wilton, NY but will require travel to construction project sites throughout the northeast, primarily New York, Vermont and Pennsylvania.

Essential functions of the position:

• Perform a variety of tasks that may include periodically having to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods of time, stretch, walk, climb and bend under potentially adverse field conditions and be able to perform visual tasks such as back up spotting and hear and react to back up alarms, per safety protocol

Job functions will include but are not limited to:

• Prepare accurate estimates based on designed plans that meet the project specifications
• Evaluate and analyze construction plans
• Review shop drawing submittals
• Apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations
• Solve moderately complex problems
• Create functional project schedules meeting desired deadlines
• Maintain organized project records
• Be dedicated to safety and maintaining a healthy work environment
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor s degree in civil engineering, construction management or environmental engineering
• Knowledge of business concepts and accounting
• 1-3 years' experience / internships / co-ops in a heavy civil environment
• Strong work ethic
• Self-motivated
• Proficient computer skills
• Values teamwork & communication
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen
• Must possess a clean, valid driver s license
