This position will be onsite, in Beaverton, OR.

Overview

We are seeking a Facility Manager to join our team and oversee multiple office spaces across the US.. You will be responsible for ensuring our offices are safe, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing while also promoting employee engagement and satisfaction. From assessing the need for repairs and renovations to coordinating vendor activities, you'll be a key player in shaping our office culture. You will

  • Manufacturing and Warehouse experience highly recommended.
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Share development and oversight of facility assessment and benchmarking plans for multiple offices, including
  • Building/Office inspections to determine the need for updates, repairs, or renovations.
  • Standardized office layout program in support of business / functional needs
  • Business continuity planning in the event of access/availability issues (contingency planning)
  • Assist in planning and coordination for all installations, maintenance and repairs as needed (telecommunications, heat, electricity, furniture, equipment etc.)
  • Administration of access control policy and compliance.
  • Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
  • Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
  • Manage the maintenance/upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet all business and safety/compliance requirements.
  • Review utilities and other facility costs/practices and identify/recommend alternatives to reduce resource consumption where opportunities exist.
  • Supervise activities for all facilities vendors, contractors, and staff (custodians, technical support, etc.)
  • Local control of activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security as needed.
  • Allocate office space according to business /functional needs.
  • Maintain vendor/contractor insurance certifications and and service contracts/SLA’s.
  • Keep financial and non-financial records associated with all facility related vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Perform analysis and forecasting to develop long term/strategic plans to include growth and expansion (scalability).
  • Become primary liaison with property management, brokerage, and landlords for multiple U.S. offices.
  • Support of onsite amenity programs, engagement events and functions, aimed at improving/maintaining a positive company culture experience and employee satisfaction goals.
You have
  • Track record of providing an excellent employee experience that drives engagement.
  • Proven experience as facilities manager or in a similar/related role with five years of related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in facilities/workplace related regulatory and compliance (OSHA reporting, etc).
  • Familiarity with technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Good analytical/critical thinking.
  • BS/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field and/or relevant professional qualification will be an advantage.
  • Remote Employees should confirm that the internet service available has adequate bandwidth to support all work processes.

LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is ($ 86,504 - $137,280). Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
