What to Expect

The Facilities I&C supervisor will be responsible for managing the technicians executing instrumentation and controls scopes in support of Facilities Maintenance at Gigafactory Nevada. Leveraging industry experience and technical expertise, they will lead our I&C Technician Team as they perform maintenance, and installation jobs. In addition to ensuring efficient execution of work, they will be responsible for evolving Facilities Maintenance I&C programs and processes.

What You’ll Do

· Responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating the operations of one or more departments in Instrumentation and Controls.

· Responsible for leading I&C technicians in executing projects with an expert knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, and Wastewater Systems.

· Interface with controls, chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineers daily.

· Duties include formulating policies and procedures, supervising nightly operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources.

· Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives

· Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules, resolve technical problems, and acts as incident commander during facility excursions; Manage on-shift escalations

· Identifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

· Verify completion of task execution (PM, SOP, PTP, etc.)

· Communicates detailed plans for work assignments and is the first point of contact for issues that arise on the shift

· Reviews activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement

What You’ll Bring

· 6+ years of related trade experience supporting a high technology environment, preferably semiconductor, pharmaceutical or battery manufacturing facilities.

· Experience with complex control systems, process test and measurement devices and the associated equipment used to maintain them.

· Familiar with common communication protocols used in industrial control systems.

· Ability to comprehend complex processes and prioritize work schedule accordingly.

· Experience reviewing technical data, P&ID drawings, and PFD diagrams.

· Ability to review calibration completion documents and flag any irregularities.

· Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per site protocol

· Able to discern audible alarms

· Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for 10+ hours per day, Must be able to lift at least 10-20 lbs.

· Capable of obtaining OSHA 30 within 3 months of hire.

· Work in heavy equipment rooms, chemical storage, and distribution locations, and industrial waste plants

· Potential to work with materials which contain hazardous chemicals

· Support and/or work shift duties in a 24x7 manufacturing environment

· High tolerance for change

· Strong teamwork, leadership and communication skills· Associates degree and/or 6+ years in industrial setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $112,000.00 per year
