WE ARE HIRING! We are Walt’s Point S, Inc. “aka” Walt’s Tire Factory. We are a family-owned and operated business for 30+ years here in our little ole town of Yelm.

We are looking to hire an experienced technician to join our team. You should have proven experience as an auto mechanic on cars and light trucks along with an ASE certificate. You will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles.

You should have a valid driver's license and can provide friendly customer service. You will be performing routine maintenance which may involve tasks with the lifting of heavy objects.

Since the role will be performing maintenance and repair on customer vehicles, we need someone who can perform basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation and someone with an understanding of automotive air-conditioning systems and who can use diagnostic equipment.

Salary: $20 - $25 per hr or higher depending on experience

JOB REQUIREMENT: 2-5 years of automotive experience

• Proven experience in minor repair services. Including brakes, alignments and or engine tear down
• Familiarity with using scan tools to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
• Strong desire to learn and grow in the automotive industry.
• Aptitude for using computers and other technology in the repair process.
• Must have a comprehensive set of personal tools.
