TITLE: Aerospace Expeditor
LOCATION: Kent, WA
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: long term contract with potential for conversion
PAY RANGE: $22-28/hr.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Exciting space exploration engineering company in Kent, WA is seeking to hire an Expeditor. In
this role, you will be ensure on-time delivery of raw material, hardware parts,
consumables and tooling to and from the appropriate work centers.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination with all applicable departments to ensure on-time delivery of raw material, parts, consumables and tooling to and from the appropriate work centers.
- Enforce completion of work center buyoffs prior to moving hardware to the next work center.
- Ensure hardware and equipment are properly staged for inter-plant transportation/movement.
- Cross-reference and confirm part quantity, part number, serial number, labeling and routing sheet persist with hardware throughout plant movements.
- Contribute to zero-defect philosophy by escalating observed non-conformance or design/manufacturing issues that deviate from the nominal process.
- Oversee inventory control of specialty tooling in a production ready condition.
- Purchase shop consumables and items in support of production demand.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma and 3+ years’ experience working as a Material Handler/Expeditor with aerospace hardware in a manufacturing environment.
- Good driving record. Will drive taking hardware to different buildings.
- Proficient working on a computer. MRP/ERP experience desired.
- Physically fit and able to work on feet all day.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs unassisted.
- Able to perform lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position.
- Willingness to utilize powered lifting equipment, fork lifts, pallet jacks, hoists, lift tables etc to support safe hardware handling operations.
- Must be open to working all required shift hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc).
- Prior experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic industries.
- Experience in organizing files, documents and shop 5S.
- 3 years of experience in an industrial environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
To conform to U.S. Government International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR),
you must be a U.S. Citizen, Lawful Permanent Resident, or protected individual
as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) to meet the minimum qualifications for this
position.
