Committed to outstanding member experiences, we are now seeking a chef to lead our culinary team in our restaurant where our members enjoy great cuisine and atmosphere within our indoor and outdoor seating area.

Job Description:

The Restaurant Chef reports directly to the General Manager. The Restaurant Chef is responsible in overseeing the day-to-day culinary operation in Champions Restaurant, ensuring the highest quality of food for members and their guests. A professional who is passionate about food with a knowledge of both traditional and current culinary trends. Proven ability managing kitchen operations including proficient in computer software, time management, organization and prioritization skills, controlling operational expenses, excellent communication skills, leadership skills, the ability to develop employees and cultivate a team environment are all necessary to succeed in this position. A significant in-season commitment should be expected.

Position Qualifications and Responsibilities:

• Minimum of 3 years experience as Sous or Executive Chef in high-volume, full-service kitchens.
• A team-oriented leader, able to hire, train and direct culinary staff.
• Able to adapt and react to fast paced environment.
• Develop and update ala carte and special event menus.
• Lead the team in creation of daily and weekly specials
• Participate in daily preparation and meal service.
• Able to apply culinary skills to play a critical role in enhancing member satisfaction.
• Able to multi-task culinary tasks pertaining to member dining, events and special requests.
• Order and inventory product.
• Monitor food and labor costs
• Elevate plating, presentation and quality of food by adding creative, modern and up-to-date items while maintaining the classics.
• Engage with Food & Beverage Manager for member feedback.
• Periodically visit dining area when it is open to welcome members.
• Attend all management meetings.
• Ensure overall member satisfaction.
• Be able to work weekends, holidays and maintain a flexible schedule
• Maintain at all times, professional approach with co-workers and members.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and regulations.
• Maintain reporting as requested by the General Manager

Physical Demands:

• Required to stand for long periods and walk, balance, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, twist or reach.
• Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Continuous repetitive motions.
