HELIX Wine & Bites seeks an Executive Chef who is looking for a unique opportunity to shape a restaurant menu in their image that showcases their culinary skill & imagination to the Grand Forks community.

Responsibilities Include:

* Overseeing the overall back of the house (BOH) operations.

* Creating, perfecting, and presenting all food items for the menu.

* Developing employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations, & by conducting performance reviews.

* Ensuring that all food & restaurant supplies are properly ordered & stocked.

* Menu pricing based off precise knowledge of food costs versus margin goals.

* Working with ownership in the construction of the annual budget, desired COGS percentages, and staffing budgets necessary to operate a smooth BOH.

* Interacting/communicating with the front of the house (FOH) to ensure that the food production is meeting or exceeding the customer expectations.

Qualifications:

* Associate’s degree from an accredited Culinary Institution.

* Five years’ progressive experience in a leadership role in a fine dining restaurant

* Extensive knowledge in ordering, inventory, cost management, and menu pricing.

Compensation & Benefits:

* Salary - Commensurate with experience.

* Bonus pay for meeting defined financial goals.
