Riot Glass is poised to grow by entering new markets, launching new products, and expanding its relationships with existing customers. Consistent, rapid project execution is key to achieving that growth. We are seeking a talented individual to expand our Project Support Team.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Estimator - Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of assigned projects from start to finish. Under general supervision, this position develops and manages detailed project cost estimates, quotations, installation plans, and presentations; defines and coordinates materials and labor resources as required to ensure the smooth execution and completion of assigned projects.

This position consults with internal and external stakeholders and manages all project tasks and timelines as required while maintaining the highest levels of service quality and consistency.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Develops and prepares detailed costing and pricing quotations, project plans, defines required tasks and procedures, manages coordination of materials and resources as needed for all phases of the projects as assigned.
• Determines key variables for project planning and estimating, costing and other estimates, and conducts research as needed to obtain information and data and ensure that all proposals and plans are thorough and comprehensive.
• Obtains and reviews offers and quotes from subcontractors and vendors as required.
• Consults with internal and external stakeholders to outline and adjust project plans, assigns tasks, and ensures accuracy of project costs and scope.
• Identifies project risks, creates contingencies, and takes appropriate actions to manage delays or emergencies at the project site, ensures solutions meet applicable OSHA and safety guidelines.
• Prepares and presents project status updates and cost tracking in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Builds strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and others.

QUALIFCATIONS:

• Track record of successful project costing, estimating and project management in the glazing industry or a closely related field (i.e., related building materials, construction, or general contracting).
• Able to read, understand, and explain architectural plans, elevations, and design takeoffs to identify project requirements, determine scope and dimensions, and develop accurate costing and pricing assumptions.
• Able to understand and consistently apply construction industry estimation and project management best practices, principles, formulas, and methods in carrying out assigned tasks.
• Able to explain and communicate plans and proposals and related terms, changes, and rationale to clients, staff, coworkers, subcontractors, and other personnel as needed.
• Demonstrates applicable mathematical, technical, and analytical skills.
• Strong work ethic, exceptional organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Five (5) years estimating and/or project management experience with aluminum and glass systems including curtainwall, storefront, window wall, sliding and pivot doors, interior and exterior glass walls, and entrances.
• Professional experience with forced-entry protection, ballistic glazing, or related storefront security products will be a strong plus.
• Demonstrated experience developing and interpreting plans, takeoffs, layout, installation, and measuring commercial and residential glass projects.
• Strong working knowledge of construction project management standards practices, and applications.
• Experience working with third-party agencies on specifications, codes, and related items.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or an equivalent combination of professional training and work experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Proficient with applicable computer systems and software including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Excel, Word, Bluebeam, and similar project management software.
• CAD and/or CNC programming software experience will be a plus.

COMPENSATION:

• Base salary commensurate with experience.
• Eligible for Personal Performance Bonus and Company-wide profit sharing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,271.00 - $88,415.00 per year
