About the position:

An ideal candidate would be technically versatile and interested in working in a leading-edge company working in a fast-moving field involved in a very international business. We are seeking a self-motivated, curious, and well-rounded engineer to perform a variety of functions at a small, profitable company.

This role will focus on engineering tasks including design, prototyping, software programming, data analysis, and technical support.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. (minimum) in electrical engineering, engineering physics, mechanical engineering, or other technical discipline
  • Hands-on skills: proven ability to make things; designs, component choices, assembly and testing
  • Strong software skills: proficient in at least one programming language (LabVIEW and Python preferred)
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Extremely organized with a great attention to detail
  • Strong time management and productivity
  • Eager to learn new skills as required

Responsibilities

  • Manages design and execution of projects that involve mechanical, electrical, and software systems
  • Designs, prototypes, tests and debugs analog and digital circuits, data-acquisition systems
  • Performs experimental studies on instrument function, repeatability, and reliability
  • Interfaces with customers from technical sales to product support
  • Develops software for in-house testing and for release in products
  • Generates written reports, user manuals, technical publications, presentations
  • Travels internationally (10%) to attend and presents at technical conferences, trade-shows, and customer facilities

Compensation:

  • Salary range: $60k - $90k depending on qualifications
  • Annual bonus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
