About Intrepid: Intrepid Atlanta is an employee benefits consulting firm that implements creative solutions and strategies to maximize the value of our clients’ benefit offerings. The days of the spreadsheet broker are long gone. The past several years have dictated that we not only know the ins and outs of benefits but are able to fully integrate that knowledge with a comprehensive understanding of legislation, taxes, and subsidies. Overview: To address enrollment issues as brought up by Intrepid clients and their employees intake enrollments, process terminations, employee plan changes. Communicate well with Benefit Advocates and Director of Operations. Enrollment Specialist regularly practice discretionary decision making on a daily basis. This is an in-office position 4 days a week with an option to work from home one day a week.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Works directly with Benefit Advocates to enroll, terminate or change and employees' benefits
- Answer billing questions regarding open enrollment changes
- Acts as a liaison with insurance carriers to resolve enrollment issues and provide assistance with the appeals process.
- Intake Open Enrollment changes from the Benefit Analyst and process changes with the carriers
- Attends training opportunities to increase industry knowledge.
- Assist Benefit Analyst and Operations Assistant with Audits and submit changes in a timely manner
- Process address changes, request employee id cards and confirm benefit changes
- Assist with special projects as needed
- Answer email and maintain a rapid response rate according to the agreed standards.
Requirements:
- Has obtained a Bachelor's Degree (no major preferred)
- Is an energetic, team player
- Has a strong interest in learning new things
- Holds a passion for helping others
- Has strong verbal and written communication skills
