Engineering Services - Business Process SME
Job description
We are seeking a Business Process SME. The Client is an Engineering Services firm that has grown primarily through strategic acquisitions. We are currently undertaking a significant initiative to streamline financial operations processes, develop future-state process maps, and consolidate billing functions. We are seeking an experienced Business Process Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team and help drive this critical transformation.
Additional Details:
This position will be hybrid, requiring some on-site (various locations) and remote work. The expected duration is 6-9 months.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document current financial operations processes using a BPM tool.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and document current systems and their integration points.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define the future-state processes and develop process maps post-consolidation.
- Assist in the consolidation of over hundreds of billing groups into regional billing centers, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption.
- Develop and deliver training materials to stakeholders and end-users on new processes and systems.
- Monitor and measure the success of implemented changes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a business process subject matter expert in a large organization, preferably within the engineering services industry.
- Proven experience in capturing and documenting current state processes using a BPM tool.
- Demonstrated ability to create future state process maps and drive process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with change management methodologies and best practices.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% nationwide as needed.
