Moog's Corporate Group is looking for an Employee Engagement Specialist to join our Aircraft Group Employee Engagement Team in East Aurora, NY. This position is eligible for a flexible working arrangement, typically with a hybrid on-site schedule.
The ideal candidate for this role will have five years of relevant experience in employee relation matters such as discipline, policy interpretation, and manager coaching, preferably in a manufacturing environment. A master’s degree is a plus, but not a requirement. Strong Interpersonal skills to speak effectively in providing coaching to employees and line leaders are essential. An understanding of Employee Law and ability to recognize legal risk would be beneficial.
What you can expect day-to-day:
- Serve as the face of HR and the primary HR support for front-line leaders and employees.
- Work with employees and managers to determine employee effectiveness and satisfaction.
- Use tools and resources to measure engagement and recommend and implement action.
- Manage company policy education and compliance. Work with managers/supervisors to educate and ensure understanding of policies.
- Coach and guide managers through policy interpretation discussions and investigations.
- Manage and execute Employee Engagement (EE) matters from conducting investigations to providing expert employee relations support.
- Provide coaching and guidance for managers/supervisors to document and handle issues/conflicts.
- Coordinate and execute strategies and activities for developing line manager capability. This involves working with line managers to ensure they have the resources necessary to perform the HR functions of the job (performance management, counseling, documentation, employee engagement and communications).
- Coordinate and deliver HR programs and communication by working with HR Centers of Excellence (COE’s) and HR Business Partners to understand business needs, determine best vehicle for delivery, and coordinate implementation.
- Assist with the facilitation of labor law compliance including Affirmative Action plans, EEOC, etc.
- This position provides support to Moog's Aircraft Group in East Aurora, NY. Support is also provided to Moog’s remote sites, which may require occasional travel.
- Synchronize with other Employee Engagement team members to provide EE coverage to other Moog sites as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
Basic qualifications for consideration:
- Typically, a bachelor level degree and 5 years of progressive experience in a professional role, preferably with exposure to employee relation matters such as discipline, policy interpretation, and manager coaching
