Insurance Benefits Account Manager

*Must have a Health and Life License

Hardenbergh Insurance Group voted one of the top businesses to work for in the Philadelphia region is looking for a Benefits Account Specialist to join our team.

The Benefits Division Account Specialist will be primarily responsible for providing prompt, accurate, and courteous service to clients, carriers, and our vendors regarding Benefits clients. This includes maintaining and updating the database of clients, processing new and renewal business, assisting in client claims and assisting clients in maintaining enrollments in HRIS system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responding to Customer Inquiries:

  • Review, document, and process insured’s request for service and renewal related items
  • Assist in servicing clients
  • Maintain files, policy information, and conduct related follow up via Applied EPIC System
  • Follow up on enrollments, terminations, and miscellaneous activity requests
  • Utilize HRIS system and facilitate enrollment processing

Processing New Business:

  • Work with the client and internal team on processing of new business
  • Send out requests and generate quotes electronically via specialty software programs
  • Follow up with insurance companies/master broker regarding quotes
  • Process Broker of Record letters
  • Submit applications and checks to company/master broker

Processing Renewal Business:

  • Attend and facilitate enrollment meetings when necessary with clients
  • Create and review enrollment/change requests for accuracy
  • Complete renewal applications and related activities
  • Send out requests to carriers and generate quotes electronically
  • Update renewal information in system
  • Maintain all polices and commission in Applied EPIC.

Administrative Duties:

  • Process all incoming email within 24 hrs
  • Compose correspondence as needed in Applied EPIC system
  • Send new business welcome letters, when requested
  • Attach client correspondence to client files
  • Maintain electronic client records
  • Manage client data on HRIS technology & assist all teams when needed

Requirements:

  • Life and Health license
  • Maintain insurance license completing the required continuing education (CE) courses
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing
  • Must have the ability to work independently and from home 4 days a week
