Position Details:
Title: Elementary Teacher- 5th Grade for the 2023-2024 school year
Placement (location): Eagle Rock Elementary
Supervisor: Principal or designee
Contract Days: 191 days to begin August 2023
Salary Range: no less than $42,602 - $83,145 plus master's stipend of $2,130 (depending upon approved previous experience and graduate level credits)
Current salary subject to increase based on current negotiations
Position Closing Date: Open until filled with screening to begin as soon as possible.

Description:
This position requires an Oregon Teaching license with an elementary certification or the ability to obtain same license prior to the start date. The teacher must be familiar with Standards Based Teaching and Learning instructional practices, including differentiation and reteaching methods. This position requires the ability to analyze data to inform the instruction to a whole class and individual learning. This teacher must possess the ability to scaffold rigorous lessons that are engaging to all learners.

General Expectations:
The ideal applicant will have demonstrated content knowledge and pedagogic skill relative to teaching elementary. A desire to collaborate with other educators, as well as the ability to maintain and adapt existing curricula to meet the ever changing needs of our students is required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using a variety of pedagogical and assessment tools, have a passion for educating ALL STUDENTS, and a willingness to be involved in the school community beyond the classroom setting. We are an AVID school and desire a candidate who is familiar with AVID strategies or has a desire to learn more about them.
