Brief Description:
The Electronic Field Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and scheduling repairs to electronics and electrical systems on Company equipment and trucks, performing site audits, and determining training needs and facilitating their completion. Work includes monitoring spread PM compliance, travel to site for audits and employee assessments, general supervisory duties, and remote/onsite troubleshooting when technicians require assistance.
This position works under the direction of the Electronics Manager .
Detailed Description:
- Comply with all Company and customer Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies, rules, practices, and guidelines
- Supervise troubleshooting and repair work on mechanical, electrical, and networking equipment.
- Adhere to internal and external standards and regulations of safely operating and maintaining assigned Company equipment
- Monitor compliance of preventive maintenance (PM) inspections on mounted equipment and vehicles on a regular basis
- Collaborate with technicians and management to create Preventative Maintenance Plans for field use and manage them as requirements change with industry and UPP standards
- Monitor daily repair orders associated with repair, maintenance, and inspection to ensure proper record keeping for all work done
- Train and perform rigging up and rigging down duties
- Lead and mentor Electronic Technicians to drive individual performance goals and ensure overall performance aligns with Company standards
- Be available for remote troubleshooting on jobsites
- Willingness to adjust working hours based on needs and to travel between multiple working jobsites
- Create documentation and training plans to support the long-term goals of the electronics department and the training/improvement of Electronics Technicians

Job Requirements:
- Able to successfully meet pre-employment testing requirements
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all designated times
- Possess ability to perform inspections and repairs on electrical and electronic devices
- Demonstrate clear communication skills including ability to read, write and speak English, and to promptly follow verbal and written directions in English along with the ability to establish and maintain effective rapport with all employees at different levels both in the office and in the field
- Demonstrate the ability to create, update or modify electronics documentation to include, training materials, electronic procedures and troubleshooting guides.
- Demonstrate the ability to resolve conflicts, promote employee morale, and advocate for employees that require special attention
- Ability to safely navigate work sites with occasional walking, climbing, standing, stepping, etc., during normal operating conditions (day/night, outdoor hot/cold weather) and while utilizing designated personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to work closely with others and under time‐sensitive deadlines including potential emergency response situations

- Able to perform simple mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, to make job related calculations
- Requires bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and crawling, walking on uneven surfaces, and climbing equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
- Willing to work extended schedules that may include days or nights, as well as weekends and holidays in different weather conditions
- Ability to travel as needed to other offices and work sites, occasionally requiring extended travel to remote locations and/or overnight stay(s) outside normal office area

- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to provide own basic set of tools
- Internal Applicants: 4 years’ experience as an Electronic Technician, successfully meeting all competency requirements
- External Applicants: Certificate of Completion from an accredited technical or trade school specializing in electronics repair, troubleshooting and/or diagnostics with 4+ years’ experience as an Electronic Technician in cementing/fracturing industry or related position
- Must have and maintain valid state-issued driver’s license, be eligible to drive a Company vehicle and meet the requirements of the Company’s vehicle program, policy and/or guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in repair and maintenance of heavy equipment
- Experience in the Oil & Gas industry; familiar with oilfield equipment

The Electronic Field Supervisor must work with an emphasis on individual safety and safety for others, including coworkers and third parties. This position includes working outdoors for long periods of time in all types of weather conditions typical of the area where the job is located, including dust, humidity, sleet, snow, rain, mud, cold, heat, wind, and other inclement weather.
