Special Instructors or Developmentalists provide Early Intervention services, to children ages birth through three. This is a flexible opportunity to build a caseload with the goal to work one-on-one with families in their homes and the community, as well as virtually if needed.

As an early interventionist, you have the ability to make a positive impact on a child, while coaching their family members through interventions based on their daily routines in the child’s natural setting. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and various other medical professionals to plan and carry over goals while working on the Individual Family Service Plan.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop an exceptional plan of care based on physician orders and evaluation findings
• Bill for treatment while adhering to compliance standards
• Document appropriately and efficiently
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, colleagues, other health care professionals
• Maintain a safe patient environment

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas, or have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 18 credit hours in early childhood development: Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Family and Child Services, or related majors
• A minimum of one year of experience working with children age five or younger who have a developmental delay
• Ability to travel with a form of reliable transportation
• Dedication to exceptional patient outcomes and quality of care
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Self-motivated with the willingness to exceed expectations, learn and grow
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and bedside manner
• Outstanding time management and ability to multi-task
