E&R Product Cost Specialist- Full Time (Sterling Heights, MI)

The Product Cost Specialist is responsible for data gathering, ensuring data accuracy, receiving product cost changes from suppliers, analyzing the cost variances based on contractual agreements, and completing an analysis of the impact on the business. Also, the Specialist will work in close collaboration with the Pricing team to support item catalog maintenance, manage department inbox and loading the product cost changes in the company ERP system. You will report to the onsite manager.
- Receive and document product cost updates from suppliers
- Conduct detailed assessment of product cost changes and identify impact on the business to further enhance E&R’s competitive pricing
- Work with product management to ensure understanding on cost changes and supplier agreements
- Develop and provide leadership accurate cost analysis to help guide decisions
- Update product costs in the company ERP
- Prepare communication to team members impacted by product costs increases
- Support special costing and business programs
- Associates degree or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office functionality (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) expected
- Working knowledge of business strategies including customer requirements, Supply Chain strategies, product information strategies and marketing strategies
- Experience developing cost analysis and implementing changes based on analysis
- Working knowledge of Epicor and SAP
- Manage relationships internally & externally.
