Job description

We are looking for a part time dog handler who can work one over night shift per week in addition to day shifts.

Day shifts are between 7am and 7pm and this position would include both weekdays and at least one weekend day.

Overnight shifts are from 7pm to 7am and employees are indoors with the dogs and allowed to sleep. Applicants for this position must be 18 years of age or older.

We are located in SE Renton on 25 acres, are kennel-free and use positive training practices to manage groups of dogs. We provide day camp, overnight boarding, and basic grooming.

Our dog handlers manage groups of 10-15 dogs while they walk around and play outside. They also perform indoor cleaning duties, communicate with clients and do whatever it takes to provide the highest quality of care for our dogs.

All of our employees complete an extensive online training program focusing on dog behavior, body language, group management and other skills essential for a fun and safe environment for dogs and people.

Employees recieve a .50/hour increase in pay upon completing the training program and are also compensated $3 - $5 per hour for voluntarily filling in for open shifts on short notice and for being trained as a substitute van driver for our weekday day camp routes.
