The District Manager is responsible for the people development and operations of 5 to 7 restaurants. Above all, their leadership drives world-class operations and profitability through active coaching and development of restaurant teams and culture.
Principle Responsibilities:
1. Restaurant visits The strongest component of the District Manager role is to spend quality time in the restaurant developing and coaching the teams shoulder-to-shoulder. The District Manager consistently strives to build the capabilities of the team.
2. Establishing Plans and Monitoring Progress The District Manager establishes and plans for the key activities and targeted areas for each restaurant. The District Manager analyzes patterns, develops priority plans for each restaurant based on the trends and works shoulder-to-shoulder with the Restaurant General Manager and the restaurant team to implement the priority plan. Progress is monitored through weekly coaching sessions with the Director of Operations and other leadership teams within the market. Goals are set for the restaurant based on the priority plan and shoulder-to-shoulder interaction.
3. Operations Excellence The District Manager ensures strong execution of the companys key platforms. The District Managers role is to add structure, discipline and process into the day-to-day activities of the restaurant that will support the flawless execution of the BKC systems and standards.
4. Drive Score Card Performance The District Manager identifies the drivers of strong scorecard performance in the following four categories: Caring People, Delighted Guests, Strong Sales and Healthy Profits.
5. Profit and Loss Management The District Manager manages the district P&L and ensures that the proper systems are in place as it relates to Gross Profit, Labor Management and Inventory Controls. The CBM measures, tracks and develops plans against the Scorecard and P&L performance.
