Job description

The Dispatcher position ensures that incoming orders are executed, and customer satisfaction is achieved. The dispatcher maintains continual communication with customers regarding current orders and anticipates future requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· Assist Logistics Manager in planning, scheduling and dispatching bulk dump trucks from terminal out to customer locations while monitoring quality assurance throughout the delivery process

· Function as the liaison between the customer, drivers, and facility operations to provide excellent customer service

· Consistently follow up to ensure that loads are moving according to schedule and customers’ expectations

· When required, receive and input customer orders into system

· Ensure that bulk truck drivers (contracted & commercial pick-ups) are aware of specific site policies, including safety requirements

· Executing on assigned projects

Position Requirements

· Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities

· Experience in transportation and logistics

· Good time-management, organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask.

· Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays

· Highly proficient level of computer skills with Microsoft Office applications

· A commitment to build strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues and outside vendors

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
