Position Overview

Washes dishes and does general sanitation work.

Essential Functions

• Washes all dinner ware, pots and kitchen items in the dish machine and three pot sink.
• Cleans areas as assigned in the kitchens and dining rooms.
• Disposes of all garbage from the dining room using the proper procedure.
• Complies with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements.
• Follows all procedures for sanitation, preparation and safe food handling in the assigned area.
• Must take necessary precautions and follow correct procedures for lifting and bending, and other safety procedures.
• Demonstrates knowledge of fire safety procedures and assists with evacuation of residents to a safe location in the event of fire or other emergency.
• Cooperates with staff of other departments to perform job duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Able to read, write, and understand spoken English thoroughly
• Ability to work most evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Total commitment to customer service
• Ability to understand and carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables.
