Director of Production and Operations

Overview

This is a key position for a person who can oversee all of the production and operations associated with an operation with about 70 production workers. This individual will be a leading member of our team.

Description

· Oversee production operations of about 70 production workers.

· Oversee and enhance production tracking processes.

· Oversee process improvement to achieve higher efficiency.

· Oversee the hiring and training of new employees.

· Oversee quality control functions.

· Quickly learn processes and procedures associated with multiple assembly operations to be able to direct and manage employees -- and to maintain high levels of quality.

· Ensure that daily production numbers are met.

· Fosters a culture of collaboration and respect, to motivate employees to achieve production goals and achieve the highest product quality.

· Oversees procurement which involves purchasing 500+ raw materials used in the production of 60+ finished goods.

· Create practices that will drive efficiency.

· Work closely with team leads and their teams, to define measurables, track progress, and implement continuous improvements.

· Ensures equipment is maintained, repaired, or replaced to prevent equipment failure or shut down.

Requirements

· 10+ years of operations management experience.

· Bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record
