Rome Health is looking for a dynamic individual that will head up our HIM department. This position is Monday through Friday and as needed.

Some of the job responsibilities are :

• Provide oversight and direction to the Health Information Management department
• Identifies and resolves operational issue
• Interview, hires and assists with training of new staff
• Facilitates involvement on project improvement initiatives for HIM department.
• Prepares statistics and data for purposes of research, process improvement and mandatory reporting
• Prepares departmental budget
• Records and submits reports to the Medical Executive Committee regarding compliance
• Assures contracted service vendors meet contractual obligations

Education:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management or ralted field

Licenses:

• Registered Health Information Administrator required

Experience:

• 5 years experience in supervisory capacity in Health Information Management
