WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The Director of Agile Leadership and Scrum leads the development of agile operations and standard methodology in the North America technology. This role will collaborate across engineering, product, and scrum functional geo partners within the North America organization to ensure unified strategy, seamless and sequenced execution, and metric driven adoption of agile practices and tools.
The ideal candidate for this position will have extensive experience in driving large complex, cross functional programs at an enterprise level, with particular expertise in the areas of agile delivery methodology, digital transformation and product model adoption. This individual will play equal parts problem solver and doer, tackling the roles of strategist, operator, influencer and delivery specialist, as they effectively navigates the matrixed structure of Nike. Building key partnerships, developing a strong point of view and gaining consensus across team will be key to the success profile. In addition, having a rich history of timely delivery while being confident with a constantly evolving dynamic landscape is a must for this role.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
You will be asked to lead the elevated programs driving the digital transformation of Nike and in doing so be comfortable consistently assessing tradeoffs, risks and making decisions with imperfect information across multiple workstreams. You will assess and understand needs and coordinate teams and resources needed to complete those specifications in line with agile and product model principal. You will lead the agile program and have oversight of its execution and development. You will partner to drive coordination of deliverables, actively engaging key business and technology portfolio partners to ensure opportunities, risks and issues are understood and addressed. You will co-create and develop communications of progress, portfolio reporting, and tools assessment and implementation.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
You will partner with senior executive level internal partners and scrum team members to cultivate collaboration, strategic alignment and integrated planning and execution across all functions. You will have close partnership with the Portfolio, Product, Program and Strategy functions across the company, at the Geo and Global levels. You will work closely to coordinate with key teams on dependencies across the portfolio.
WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE
- 7+ years of leadership experience in program management, management consulting, strategy or a related field with particular focus in Technology
- 3+ years of people leadership, building and developing teams of 3-5 employees
- Product Model implementation experience
- Formal training in project or portfolio management methodologies and/or certifications
- Proven success in portfolio management and large-scale, cross-functional program delivery from strategy to execution
- Experience running and driving multi-million-dollar budgets across multiple platforms and business types
- Demonstrated success in agile standard process methodology
- Well versed in scrum servant leadership
- Experienced Aha! user or tangential experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to challenge the status quo
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a dynamic environment
- Strategic Enterprise Thinking
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
